== Word of mouth recruitment ==
The best way to get editors on board who are vetted and trustworthy antifascists is to recruit people you know and trust personally.

Exercise caution! Focus your word-of-mouth recruitment on people you can trust. Avoid discussing ATW in public places, where you might be overheard, or anywhere that keeps a permanent record of your conversation, such as email or social media. If you are openly an activist or participate in direct action, and you may be under surveillance, be especially cautious.

Be careful when sharing [[ATW:Pseudonyms|your ATW pseudonym]] with anyone. Editor applications can include personal references, but it's not required if you are not comfortable sharing your pseudonym.

== Covert recruitment ==
Covertly spreading the word about ATW is as easy as writing it on your classroom whiteboard before anyone gets there for the day, tagging "antifascistwiki.org" at your favorite queer bar bathroom stall, or secretly leaving ATW recruitment flyers in a public place. Be creative! The ATW bureaucrats do due diligence on all applicants, so a personal relationship of trust is not required (it helps, though!).

The WHO has three categories to describe violence: ''self-inflicted, collective'', and ''interpersonal''. Self-inflicted violence includes matters of self-harm and suicide, which is sometimes performed as a form of protest. Collective violence occurs between two ''groups'' of people, such as communities and states, and is generally associated with political, social, or economic motivations. War is the most extreme example of collective violence. Interpersonal violence occurs at the scale of one person to another.<ref name=":0" />

One of the key defining characteristics of a state is that it is said to possess the "monopoly on violence". Organized [[police]] forces are an example of the state employing its monopoly on violence. Police officers are empowered by the state to use violence to enact the policies of the state. Police are inherently violent - that is the purpose of their role in society, and the violence is ''legitimized'' by the state. Really like this page, its the most comprehensive single source for information on DHH I've found. I dont think I have anything substantive to add to this well-cited page, but I have noticed that DHH at least used to circulate in near-leftist spaces. The only solid evidence I can recall was that he used to donate to [https://citationsneeded.libsyn.com/ Citations Needed] and they would read his name during the credits. Probably not notable enough to track but I do think he used to be less far-right than he's been for the last few years.

P.s. How does his vanilla Wikipedia page not have "Controversy" section!?
